Ransom County Fair Night Races at the Sheyenne River Speedway in Lisbon, ND entertained a large crowd on thursday night. Fans, Kids, Drivers and Families came from the surrounding communities to enjoy the rides, food and festivities at the Ransom County Fair prior to watching the races. Drivers from all ages came to display their talents including young Mr. Eckerdt (Age 7 and Pictured) who won the Slingshot Class. Everyone would come away with a smile after the night concluded.
Nate Reinke had one mission in the Titan Machinery Wissota Midwest Modifieds. That was to win on the Ransom County Fair.Nate Reinke started on the front row outside. that would be the last time any car would get near him. As he dominated the field. Jarrett Carter and Zach Reinke would work though the field up to second and third. battling back and forth, Reinke running the bottom and Carter at the middle to the top, put on the battle of the night. Reinke would take over second in turns three and four. Then Carter would come right back and regain second in turns one and two. With just two laps left Zach Reinke would get back by Carter one last time. Nate Reinke would win by a full straight away or his brother.
Valley City State University Hobby Stocks it was Daleyn Baash who looked to have the car to beat. Clair Miller and Casey Ussatis worked on the back bumper of Baash. Miller running the low line looked to the inside of Baash. While Ussatis was trying to make his way around Miller on the outside. Laps counting down Baash would slowly open the gap between the rest of the competition. With the white flag in sight Baash would set the cruise control while Miller and Ussatis battled side by side for second. Baash would pick up his second feature win of the year and Miller would edge out Ussatis at the line.
In the Welton’s Tire Wissota Street Stocks it was Duffy Froemke out front and setting the pace. Bo Gregor would look to the bottom of Froemke early but could not get the by Froemke. Froemke would drive away from the field with Gregor , Tyler Pfaff and Hunter Carter battling for second, third and Fourth. Back and forth Pfaff and Carter would go for the next six laps battling form third. Carter would take over third as Pfaff would slide up the track. Froemke sights on the checkered flag with nearly half a straightway lead over Gregor. Froemke would take home the big win.
The Cross Roads Electric Wissota Super Stocks Cole Searing and Brian Bernotas would put the on the show of the night. right form the start Searing on the outside Bernotas on the inside of row one. At the drop of the the green it was side by side action with searing having the lead by a nose each time by the flag stand. Back and forth for the lead Bernotas would switch form the top to the bottom with just five to go. Searing would get a good look and Bernotas, when Bernotas drove to the bottom of turn one. That would be enough motivation for Searing to drive past Bernotas and take home the victory by just over one car length over Bernotas.
Michael Vick and Cole bogart would start the Milnor Fabricating Mini Stocks feature on the front row.Vick would jump out to the lead while Zach Muralt, Pokey Lukes, and Grady Shearer would battle it out for the second position. for laps in Muralt would take over the lead. Lukes and Shearer would not let him get to far. Jonny Carter would make his way up through the field only to have to pull into the infield with engine problems. A late caution would setup a green white checkered. Muralt fallowed by Matt Bogart and Shearer would take the green but only to have the caution come back out. Shearer would be called for jumping tohe start. For the finial time Muralt would take the green. Muralt got out to a five car lead. It was Shearer who was on the move. At the white flag it was Muralt then Shearer. Going into turn three shearer looked to the inside and tried to slide up in front of Muralt. Muralt would have none of it as he would take the checkered flag.
